COURSE RULES AND LOCAL RULES
1. All players must report to the Pro Shop.
2. All players must have a set of clubs.
3. Proper attire must be worn at all times.
4. Foursomes are preferred, smaller groups
may be asked to join another group.
5. Slower players must let other players
go ahead.
6. Repair divots and ball marks and rake
bunkers.
7. Keep power carts 25 ft. from greens.
8. Alcohol must be purchased at the course.
9. Soft spikes only
RULES OF PLAY
1.
Rules
of the Royal Canadian Golf Association will govern all play except
modified by local rules. Management reserves the right to refuse
play or admittance to anyone disobeying course rules or starter's
orders.
2. OUT OF BOUNDS:
Fences mark the boundaries of the golf course. Penalty stroke
and Distance. No. 8 Gold: The creek behind the green, any ball
coming to rest in the creek or presumed to be in the creek (Penalty
1 stroke).
3. WATER HAZARDS:
All lakes are lateral water hazards and the ball may be played
as it lies without penalty, or dropped outside the hazard not
nearer the hole than a line to where the ball was judged to cross
the hazard (Penalty 1 stroke).
4. ROADWAYS AND PARKING LOTS:
When the ball lies on or touches the parking lot
or roadway used for golf course maintenance or when the parking
lot Or roadway is within two club lengths of the ball and interferes
with the player's stance or stroke, it may be lifted and dropped
within two club lengths not nearer the hole of its original position
(no penalty).
5. GENERAL HAZARDS:
Any ball coming to rest in any culverts may be
lifted and dropped within two club lengths (no penalty) not nearer
the hole. Any ball Iying within one club length of any fence,
building, water pipes, hoses Or any golf course maintenance equipment
or young trees (with yellow tags) may be lifted and dropped within
two club lengths not nearer the hole (no penalty).
6. PLAYING FROM INCORRECT GREEN:
A ball played onto an incorrect green shall be
lifted and dropped off the green not nearer the hole (no penalty).
Country View considers 2 hours to be a
reasonable time to play nine holes. Please be aware of your pace
of play.
